NAPICU believes that standards and practice can continue to develop in the UK by learning how others provide care and identify areas of good practice. NAPICU continues to find ways in which good practice can be exchanged across the world.As a result NAPICU welcomes membership from all around the world. Benefits Membership entitles members to vote at the organisation's Annual General Meeting where elections to the executive committee are made and on motions submitted to the AGM Membership entitles members to stand for Executive Committee positions of the Committee. All nominees will need the written confirmation from their employer or sponsoring organisation that they will be supported to undertake the tasks and responsibilities of the position. Members are entitled to Discounted Rates for the Annual Conference.The conference is held in a different part of the United Kingdom each year.Membership becomes self funding when an organisation attends the Annual Conference and receives the discounted rate. Free access to each of the ‘regional meetings’ held quarterly around different parts of the United Kingdom Receive the Journal of Psychiatric Intensive Care Journal Apply for a Travel Bursary to assist in the development of practice in Psychiatric Intensive and Low Secure care.
