International Membership.
Intensive Care Psychiatry or Emergency Psychiatry is practiced all over the world in a range of different settings with a range of different types of organisations and different philosophies of care. NAPICU believes that standards and practice can continue to develop in the UK by learning how others provide care and identify areas of good practice. NAPICU continues to find ways in which good practice can be exchanged across the world. As a result NAPICU welcomes membership from all around the world. If you would be interested attending a NAPICU Regional Conference in Australia in 2010 then please do contact our International Liaison officer.
Benefits
Membership entitles members to vote at the organisation's Annual General Meeting where elections to the executive committee are made and on motions submitted to the AGM
'International Membership' does not entitle members to stand
for Executive Committee positions except that of ‘International Liaison Officer
Members are entitled to Discounted Rates for the Annual Conference.The conference is held in a different part of the United Kingdom each year.Membership becomes self funding when an
organisation attends the Annual Conference and receives the discounted rate.
Free access to each of the ‘regional meetings’ held quarterly around different parts of the United Kingdom

Apply for a Travel Bursary to assist in the development of practice in Psychiatric Intensive and Low Secure care.

‘NAPICU Intrant, issued with an napicu.net email address and a free website facillityto promote your unit's achievements.
Each Organisation can submit a profile the unit and description
of services which will be displayed in the ‘members only’ area of the NAPICU Website
